LED, halogen and xenon work lamps
An LED work lamp produces 3 to 5 times the light of a 55W halogen lamp for around a third of the current, runs cool and is rated to 30,000 hours or more. A halogen work lamp uses an H3 or H9 bulb, costs less to buy and is the direct replacement on older machines. Xenon work lamps deliver the highest output per lamp and suit combines and large tractors working long night shifts.
Beam patterns and mounting
Flood beams (close range, wide) suit loader work, yard work and implement monitoring. Spot beams (long range, narrow) suit field work at speed. Most work lamps use a single-bolt bracket; cab-roof and bonnet lamps often use a dedicated bracket or a DEUTSCH or AMP plug, which is listed on the product page.
Choosing a work lamp
Match the voltage first (most LED lamps accept 12V and 24V), then the beam pattern, the bracket and the plug. An IP67 rating covers pressure washing; IP69K covers hot high-pressure washing.
