24V work lights

A 24V work light is a flood or spot lamp rated for the 24 volt electrical system on larger tractors, telehandlers, self-propelled sprayers, forage harvesters, combines and lorries. A 12V lamp on a 24V supply burns out within seconds, so the voltage rating is the first check before buying. Machines that need 24V work lights

Some large tractors, self-propelled sprayers and harvesters, certain telehandlers and every HGV run 24V systems; the voltage is printed on the battery and in the operator's manual. Implements and trailers towed behind these machines receive 24V through the ISO or seven-pin socket, so work lights on a bale trailer, a drill or a sprayer boom behind a 24V tractor must be 24V lamps too. A 24V halogen work light uses an H3 24V 70W bulb, and 24V LED lamps carry a driver set for 24V. Multivolt 12/24V LED lamps regulate either supply and suit a contractor whose implements move between 12V and 24V tractors; these appear in the LED work lights range.

Choosing a 24V work light

Match the beam pattern to the task: flood beams of 60 to 90 degrees for hitching, loading and around the header; long-range beams of 10 to 30 degrees for lighting the field edge from a cab roof. IP67 or IP69K sealing is standard on the LED units and protects the lamp from pressure washing after a day on the clamp.
