Types of marker lamp

Side marker lamps (amber) mark the length of a trailer or implement. Position lamps (white front, red rear) mark the width. End-outline marker lamps mark the top corners of vehicles over 2.1m wide. Flasher lamps are indicator repeaters, and licence plate lamps light the registration plate. Each type is E-marked for road use where stated.
