Tractor Beacons
A tractor beacon is an amber warning lamp, rotating or LED flashing, that marks a slow agricultural vehicle to other road users. UK law requires an amber beacon on any vehicle with a maximum speed of 25mph or less on an unrestricted dual carriageway, and most farms run one on every road journey. This range covers LED, halogen rotating and xenon beacons for 12V and 24V tractors, plus mounts, poles and spare lenses.

LED beacons against rotating halogen beacons
An LED beacon has no motor or bulb to fail, draws under 1A at 12V and is rated to 30,000 hours or more. A rotating halogen beacon uses an H1 or H3 bulb and a drive motor, costs less to buy, and is the like-for-like replacement on older tractors. Both fit the same three-point, single-bolt, pole (DIN) or magnetic mounts.
Choosing a tractor beacon
Check three things: the tractor voltage (12V, 24V or a dual-voltage unit), the mount already on the cab roof or pole, and the approval. Road-legal beacons carry ECE R65 approval, listed on the product page.
