Choosing specialist tools
A torque wrench is specified by its range, and the working figure sits in the middle of that range, so a tractor wheel nut at 400Nm needs a 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch drive wrench rated to 600Nm or more. For electrical faults on lighting circuits, a multimeter with a 10A DC current range reads the draw of a work light or beacon directly, and a test lamp finds a dead feed at a 7-pin socket in seconds. General sockets, spanners and screwdrivers are under hand tools; the lighting parts these tools fit are under tractor lighting.
