Sensors and Senders
Sensors and senders are the parts that feed a tractor's gauges, warning lamps and control units: speed sensors, position sensors, coolant and oil temperature sensors, oil and fuel pressure sensors, fuel tank senders and potentiometers. The range is supplied mainly by John Deere part number, with the tractor models each sensor fits listed on the product page, plus universal senders for older machines.

Types of sensor in this range
Speed and rotation sensors read wheel, PTO and engine speed. Position sensors cover hitch, lever and pedal position. Temperature sensors cover coolant, oil, intake air and exhaust gas. Pressure sensors and senders cover oil, fuel rail, boost and hydraulic pressure. Fuel senders cover tank level units with the float arm. NOx and exhaust sensors cover emissions systems on Stage IV and V engines.
Choosing a sensor or sender
Order by part number wherever possible: sensors with the same thread and connector can carry a different signal curve, and the wrong one gives a false reading rather than no reading. The part number is on the sensor body or the old invoice, and the product page lists equivalent and superseded numbers. Check the connector count matches the loom (2-pin, 3-pin or 4-pin). The switches that share the same circuits are under switches, and the gauges they drive under gauges, displays and monitors.
