Tractor lighting innovation: new LED and lighting technology

Innovation guides follow the lighting technology arriving on new tractors and in the aftermarket: higher-output LED modules, light bars that replace several lamps, sealed multivolt electronics and lamps with built-in flash and dimming control. The section is short, with two guides, and grows as new technology reaches the UK market.

What is changing in tractor lighting

LED output per lamp has roughly doubled in a decade while current draw has fallen, so a cab roof that once carried six halogen work lights now carries four LED units with more light and a quarter of the load on the alternator. Manufacturers fit lighting as part of the cab electronics, with lamps switched and dimmed from the terminal. The guides explain what these changes mean when replacing or upgrading lights on an existing machine, and which new products are in the LED work lights and light bar ranges.
