Vehicle lighting plays an important role in the areas of safety and working comfort. Especially when it comes to occupational safety, there are many situations with room for improvement. It is therefore important that danger zones can be visually marked or demarcated at any time if necessary in order to warn and protect the surroundings in good time. Until now, this had to be done by manual demarcation of the areas by the driver or other workers, so that it was not possible to mark individual areas as required in an uncomplicated, fast and safe way. With VISIOTECH projection technology, HELLA has developed a projection module that projects a call sign onto the ground as a warning sign, thus visually warning other vehicles or passers-by, drawing their attention or visually demarcating certain work areas. Especially in the construction industry and in mines, for example, it is important that when unloading the shovel or tippers, the danger zone can be marked unmistakably and uncomplicatedly for others involved. Workers in the municipal sector are regularly exposed to great danger from other road users due to constant “jumping off” from the vehicle. With a simple warning sign projected onto the work area before workers “jump off”, motorists could be effectively warned and accidents avoided. For example, the required loading area or safety area could be clearly and unambiguously marked for trucks, transports for the disabled or emergency vehicles. Numerous applications for more safety and comfort in everyday work can also be realised for forestry and agricultural machinery. This significantly increases occupational safety and comfort in everyday work at any time of day or night.
