Tubing and air line covers the hose clips, tube nuts, pipe fittings, air line fittings and hose that carry fuel, coolant, hydraulic oil and compressed air on tractors and in the workshop. Pipe Fittings covers tube nuts, compression fittings, adaptors and elbows in BSP and JIC threads for hydraulic and fuel lines. Choosing hose clips and fittings
Size a hose clip by the outside diameter of the hose once fitted over the spigot, and pick a clip whose range sits in the middle of that figure rather than at either end. Match pipe fittings by thread form and size: BSP threads are parallel or tapered, JIC threads have a 37 degree flare, and the two do not seal against each other. Worm drive clips suit coolant and low pressure fuel lines; a hydraulic line needs the correct tube nut and fitting rather than a clip.
