Washers and Seals

Washers and seals are the plain washers, spring and lock washers, shouldered and thrust washers, O-rings and sealing washers that sit under fasteners and between parts on a tractor. The range holds John Deere part-number washers and seals with fitment for axle, transmission, hydraulic and body fixings, plus general workshop washers by size.

Choosing washers and seals

Match a plain washer to the bolt size (M8, M10, 3/8 inch) and the form: Form A is the standard thickness, Form B is thinner and larger. A spring or lock washer goes under a nut that vibrates loose; a shouldered or thrust washer takes load or spacing on a shaft. Sealing washers, such as sump plug and bonded washers, seal a threaded plug against oil and fuel. O-rings are sized by inside diameter and cross-section. Nuts and bolts are under threaded fasteners, and sealants under sealants and adhesives.
