Choosing hand tools for tractor work
Most tractor fasteners are metric, but older John Deere, Massey Ferguson and Ford machines and many trailers use imperial sizes, so a workshop needs both. A 3/8 inch drive socket set covers most lamp bracket, guard and panel fixings; 1/2 inch drive and impact sockets handle wheel nuts and axle bolts. Torx and hex bit sockets are needed for the fixings on modern cab trim and LED work lights.
