Types of cable and harness in this range

John Deere harnesses cover fender, lighting, switch, sensor, hitch and monitor harnesses, listed by part number with fitment. Hella cable sets cover pre-terminated leads for rear lamps, work lights and trailer sockets, with the plug fitted. Coiled cables cover 7-pin and 13-pin curly cables between tractor and trailer in 12V and 24V. Choosing cable for tractor lighting

Size the cable to the current and the run: 1mm cable carries 8.75A, 2mm carries 17.5A, 3mm carries 27.5A. A pair of halogen work lights 6m from the battery on 12V needs 2mm cable to keep the voltage drop under 3%. Use thin wall PVC cable rated to 105 degrees near the engine, and 7-core trailer cable for a trailer board. For a John Deere loom, search the part number on the old harness label. Connectors and terminals to finish the job are under plugs, sockets and connectors, and the lamps under tractor lighting.
