Switches

Tractor switches cover every switch on the machine: rocker and toggle switches for work lights and beacons, ignition switches, stop light and reverse light switches on the pedal or gearbox, hazard warning switches, pressure and temperature switches and battery isolator switches. The range holds universal Hella switches by function and voltage, and John Deere switches by part number with the tractor models they fit.

Types of switch in this range

Rocker and toggle switches cover on-off and on-off-on patterns, illuminated and plain, with 2 to 6 terminals, for panel mounting. Push switches cover momentary and latching buttons. Ignition switches cover 2 to 5 position switches with keys. Stop light switches cover mechanical pedal switches and hydraulic pressure switches. Reverse light switches fit the gearbox and close in reverse. Hazard warning light switches include the flasher circuit terminals. Battery main switches cover rotary and lever isolators to 500A for 12V and 24V systems. Oil pressure, temperature and pressure switches drive warning lamps and gauges.

Choosing a switch

Match the switch pattern to the job (on-off for a beacon, on-off-on for a two-speed fan), the current rating to the load, and the voltage to the tractor. An illuminated rocker switch needs a 12V or 24V lamp to match. For a work light circuit above 10A, wire the switch through a relay. John Deere switches are listed by part number: search the number on the old switch and the page confirms the models it fits. Relays are under relays and the lamps under tractor lighting.
