Choosing a 12V horn or reversing alarm

A single high tone disc horn meets the road requirement on a tractor; a matched high and low tone pair is louder and more distinct in traffic. Check the mounting bracket and the terminal type (two 6.3mm blades on most units). A reversing alarm wires to the reverse lamp circuit and sounds whenever reverse is selected; a self-adjusting alarm is the right choice where a yard is close to houses. For 24 volt machines see the 24V horns and alarms page. Reverse lamps are under reverse lamps, and all horns and alarms are listed with voltage and output.
