LED marker light types by position

Front position lamps show white and mount on the front corners of a trailer or the mudguards of a tractor. Side marker lamps show amber and sit along the length of a trailer, with no gap over 3 metres between them and a lamp within 1 metre of the rear on trailers that need them. Rear position lamps show red and sit at the rear corners. End-outline marker lamps combine white and red in one unit for the top corners of a high trailer. Why LED marker lights replace bulb markers

An LED marker light draws 0.05A to 0.1A against 0.4A for a 5W bulb marker, so a trailer with twelve markers draws under 1A instead of 5A through the seven-pin plug. LED markers last more than 20,000 hours and survive the vibration that breaks bulb filaments on a rutted headland. Sealed IP67 housings with moulded cables keep water out of the lamp and the connection. Bulb markers and complete outline kits remain in the full marker lights range, and LED rear lights complete the rear of the trailer.
