With the Mega Beam LED Generation IV, HELLA is launching a compact worklight with very powerful light output. For the first time, LED light output at xenon level could be achieved in this compact design. Equipped with 3 high-performance multi-chip LEDs, the Mega Beam LED produces 2,500 measured lumens with an energy consumption of only 30 watts. The black housing of this worklight is made of aluminium and has cooling fins to ensure the necessary heat dissipation of the high-performance LEDs (comparison: Mega Beam LED Generation 3 had only 800 lumens). Despite its compact form, the Mega Beam LED Generation IV is a robust worklight for various applications. The light beams of the LEDs are emitted homogeneously into the working area thanks to the multifacet reflector and the light disk. With a colour temperature of 6,500 Kelvin, the light of the LED worklight is very similar to daylight. This causes colours to distinguish themselves more clearly in the dark, making it much easier for the human eye to perceive the senses and thus preventing fatigue. The electronics of the Mega Beam LED are multi-voltage compatible and can therefore be operated with 12 or 24 volts. The integrated electronics protect the unit in the event of reverse polarity and ensure constant brightness even with a fluctuating operating voltage of 9 to 33 volts. In addition, temperature sensors protect the worklight from overheating. This is the only way to ensure the long service life of the LEDs and safe working at night.
