Hose Clips
A hose clip seals a flexible hose onto a spigot: worm drive clips tightened with a screwdriver, single and double ear clamps crimped with pliers, Hella clamping clips and John Deere part-number hose clamps. The range covers sizes from 8mm to 200mm for coolant, fuel, air and washer hose on tractors, trailers and workshop equipment.
Choosing a hose clip
Measure the outside diameter of the hose once it is on the spigot and pick a clip whose range puts that figure near the middle. Worm drive clips suit coolant and low pressure fuel hose and can be reused; ear clamps give a tamper-proof seal on fuel and air lines and are cut off to remove. Stainless clips last longer on a machine that is pressure washed. Pipe fittings for hydraulic lines are under tubing and air line.
